Bayelsa State Due Process Bureau Holds Mid-Year Thanksgiving Service

The Bayelsa State Due Process Bureau held its Mid-Year Thanksgiving Service on June 30, 2025, at the Bureau’s Conference Hall in the Due Process Building, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The event provided an opportunity for the Bureau to reflect on its achievements over the past year and to express gratitude to God. The service was officiated by Pastor Zekieni Yelebe, who delivered a heartfelt message centered on thanksgiving. Drawing from Psalms 103:5, 100:3–5, and 107:23, Pastor Yelebe highlighted the importance of acknowledging God’s goodness—emphasizing that we give thanks because God made and sustains us, and continually delivers us from harm. He reminded attendees that only the living can praise God and encouraged various expressions of gratitude, including singing, dancing, and choir ministrations that lifted the atmosphere in worship.

Following the sermon, Pastor Yelebe led prayers for those being celebrated. A toast was delivered by Mr. Josiah Onyesi.

In addition to the Thanksgiving, staff members born in the month of June were specially recognized. A cake-cutting ceremony was held in their honor, and Director Richard Afenfia presented gifts to the celebrants. The event concluded with a group photograph featuring the directors, heads of departments, special guests, and staff of the Bureau.
