Bayelsa State Due Process Bureau Hosts Memorable End-of-Year Thanksgiving Service

The Bayelsa State Due Process Bureau held its annual end-of-year thanksgiving service on December 16, 2024, in a celebration filled with gratitude, recognition, and inspiration. The event included thanksgiving prayers, awards presentations, and expressions of appreciation for the bureau’s fellowship pastor and coordinators.

Pastor Ambrose Ejovren delivered a powerful sermon titled “The Wonder of Thanksgiving,” drawing from Job 8:1–10 and Psalm 67:5–6. His message emphasized the transformative power of gratitude and the importance of recognizing God’s blessings in our life.

Remarks from Leadership

Mr. Aaron Nicodemus Timiye, Director General of the Due Process Bureau, highlighted the purpose of the service: to thank God for His guidance and protection throughout the year. He also took the opportunity to announce the winners of the bureau’s staff awards, designed to motivate employees and enhance workplace performance.

In addition, staff members born in December were celebrated, including the Director General himself, fostering a sense of camaraderie and shared joy.

The event also featured a toast led by Sir Timinepere Peter James, Director of Finance and Accounts, honouring the birthday celebrants. The choir, directed by Mrs. Arila, uplifted attendees with their inspiring rendition of “King of Glory,” adding to the festive atmosphere.

In his closing remarks, Pastor Richard Afenfia, Director of Price Intelligence, expressed gratitude for the event’s success and thanked the Director General for his leadership. He emphasized the importance of fostering workplace relationships and maintaining a harmonious work environment.

The Director General encouraged staff to carry the spirit of unity and hard work into the coming year. The thanksgiving service was a resounding success, leaving attendees inspired and motivated to achieve even greater success together in 2025.
