The Bayelsa State Due Process Bureau held its first Thanksgiving service today. The staff of the Bayelsa State Due Process Bureau who were born in January were celebrated during the event. The Thanksgiving service message was moderated by Pastor Richard Afenfia, with the topic “Apply Our Hearts to Wisdom,” based on the texts from Jeremiah 1:5 and Psalm 90:12, which teach us to live wisely and well in the ways of God. The celebrants were prayed for by Pastor Richard Afenfia, and Barr. (Mrs.) Ebinimi Brutolu, Head of Legal Services made a toast, symbolizing grace, while the cake was cut by the celebrant. The Director General presented gifts to the celebrant, Directors present, Heads of Departments, staff of the Bureau and well-wishers who joined in the celebration.

Due Process Bureau Holds its first management meeting
Due Process Bureau holds its first management meeting today, 07/01/2025. This is to kick start the activities for the year 2025. The meeting was focus on outlining goals, strategies, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for various Staff Performance, Training & Capacity Building, Budgetary allocation and resource management to ensure effective implementation. Additionally, the team members are expected to do more in the area that are not well handled and heads of department are requested to monitor and appraise their performance for appraisal for enhancing efficiency and accountability within the bureau. This will establish clear objective for the year 2025.

Bayelsa State Due Process Bureau Hosts Memorable End-of-Year Thanksgiving Service
The Bayelsa State Due Process Bureau held its annual end-of-year thanksgiving service on December 16, 2024, in a celebration filled with gratitude, recognition, and inspiration. The event included thanksgiving prayers, awards presentations, and expressions of appreciation for the bureau’s fellowship pastor and coordinators.
Pastor Ambrose Ejovren delivered a powerful sermon titled “The Wonder of Thanksgiving,” drawing from Job 8:1–10 and Psalm 67:5–6. His message emphasized the transformative power of gratitude and the importance of recognizing God’s blessings in our life.

Mr. Aaron Nicodemus Timiye, Director General of the Due Process Bureau, highlighted the purpose of the service: to thank God for His guidance and protection throughout the year. He also took the opportunity to announce the winners of the bureau’s staff awards, designed to motivate employees and enhance workplace performance.

In his closing remarks, Pastor Richard Afenfia, Director of Price Intelligence, expressed gratitude for the event’s success and thanked the Director General for his leadership. He emphasized the importance of fostering workplace relationships and maintaining a harmonious work environment.

Due Process Bureau Thanksgiving Service for November,2024
The Bayelsa state due process bureau celebrates staff born on November 2024/ Thanksgiving service.
The Bayelsa State Due Process holds its end of month thanksgiving service and also celebrated staff who were born in November.
The thanksgiving service was ministered by Pastor Richard Afenfia, with the topic:
“The Power of Decision”, with the Text taken from Deuteronomy 30:19 and Joshua 24:15. The in sight of the scriptures was to choose whom you serve as a Christian. He also said, we all have choices to make in life you can also choose light or darkness. where we are today is a function of decisions we made earlier.
The celebrants were also prayed for by Pastor Richard Afenfia.
The Director General Hon. Aaron Nicodemus Timiye, Joined the celebrants in cutting of cake and also presented the gifts to the celebrants, while Chief Josiah Onyesi proposed the toast.
The Director General also made announcements on the Best Staff Awards and Best Dress Award to be made at the annual thanksgiving service in December, 2024 thanked everyone for their Prayers and support to his family during the Burial of his Elder brother.

PASSING OF CHIEF (Engr.) Sir DONALD NOINKARAGHA-IRIAKUMA, KSC
The late Chief (Engr.) Sir Donald Noinkaragha-Iriakuma, KSC, was laid to rest in his hometown in Nembe, Nembe Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, on Saturday, 9th of November, 2024.
Family members, friends, colleagues, and supporters from various parts of the state and country gathered to honour his life and legacy with activities which kickstarted on Friday the 8th of November, 2024.
Until his passing, Chief Noinkaragha-Iriakuma served as the Director of Contract Monitoring at the Bayelsa State Due Process Bureau, an appointment by the Bayelsa State Government.
The Director-General of the Bayelsa State Due Process Bureau, Mr. Aaron Nicodemus Timiye, generously provided funds and gifts, enabling the Bureau’s participation in the “Tiri-paga” rites. The items were presented by the leader of the Bureau’s delegation, Pastor Richard Afenfia, Director of Price Intelligence.
During the funeral service, Mr. Tari Michael Ofongo, Head, Human Resources at the Bureau, amongst others, delivered a tribute.
Chief Nanyo John Mayomi, representing the family, expressed gratitude to the Director-General, management, and staff of the Bureau for their support and kindness during this time. He also offered prayers for safety and blessings for all who traveled to Nembe to pay their respects.
The entire Bureau workforce attended the funeral to bid farewell to our late esteemed colleague. Those who had the privilege to work alongside Chief Noinkaragha-Iriakuma will remember him fondly for his dedication and leadership.

Bayelsa State Due Process Bureau Staff Inducted by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria, (CIPSMN).
Staff of the Bayelsa State Due Process Bureau took center stage during this year’s 2024 Batch B Mandatory Professional Development Programme, (MPDP), this event has added more value to the staff of the bureau, which is mandatory for every staff of the Bureau and staff from procuring MDAs.
This programme when attended will prepare and position the staff against unethical practices which will also serve as guide to professional conduct.
The Programme was organized by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria.
This year Theme is: Efficient Resources Management (ERM) In Nigeria: The Strategic Role of Sustainable Procurement, Contract Monitoring and Procurement Audit, which took place on the 25th – 27th September, 2024, at the Cyprian Ekwensi Center for Arts & Culture, Opposite Force CID Head Quarters, Area 10, Garki-Abuja. 10.00 am daily.
The event was well attended by professionals across the country that had duly completed the required academic
criteria that will enable graduates to participate during the Mandatory Professional Development Programme (MPDP), and to be inducted.
