ITF Courtesy Call and Award Presentation

Today, 29th of October 2024 the area manager and management team of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF)

Yenagoa area office paid a courtesy visit to the Bayelsa State Due process Bureau and

also presented an award to the Director General of Due Process Bureau, Mr. Aaron

Nicodemus Timiye.

The ITF Team was led by the Area Manager, Engr. Aliyu Zakari, who introduced the

members of his delegation. The said this courtesy visit and award presentation was to

show appreciation to the Director General of Due Process Bureau for being the most

engaging agency of the of the government in the state and looks for improved

collaboration. He further stated that the ITF is a Federal Government Organization

established in October 1971 with its headquarters in Lagos to meet the training needs of

civil servants in the country and later the Headquarters was moved from Lagos to Jos. In

his remarks, he said the Director General Industrial Training Fund was supposed to do

the award present but he could not make it due to emergency official engagement.

The DG, Due Process Bureau, in his response said one of the key functions of the Bureau

is to train and re-train procurement officers and post them the procuring MDAs for

optimal performance. This prompted the engagement of ITF for the training of some of

our staff, which we are collaborating before today. The DG also use the opportunity to

request that ITF add procurement trainings to their training program for procurement

officers.

In presenting the Award to the Director General Due Process Bureau, the Area Manager,

Engr. Aliyu Zakari said ITF approved the award to DPB as the winner for the year 2023 as

recognition to the management, of ITF in appreciation for the regularly patronizing ITF

for trainings

Due Process Bureau DG, Hon. Aaron Nicodemus Timiye, thanked the ITF for their effort

in bringing up different training programs for the state civil servants.

Others in attendance were the Directors, Heads of Departments and Staff of the Bayelsa State Due Process Bureau.
