Bayelsa State Due Process Bureau held its monthly Thanksgiving Service

The Bayelsa State Due Process Bureau held its monthly Thanksgiving Service on Monday, April 27, 2006, at the Bureau’s Conference Hall. The event provided an opportunity for gratitude, reflection, and celebration, with special recognition given to staff members born in February.

Pastor Diepreye Onokuma Omubo delivered an inspiring message on the theme, “Praises.” He described praise as a vital expression of gratitude and a way of life that reflects trust in God’s faithfulness. He emphasized that praise should not depend on circumstances but be offered at all times. Citing Psalm 150:6, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord,” and Psalm 34:1, “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth,” he encouraged continuous devotion. He also referenced Isaiah 12:1 and Psalm 108:3 to highlight praise as both personal and a testimony to others.

He urged everyone to trust in God rather than people, noting that while people may fail, God remains dependable. After the sermon, prayers were offered for the celebrants, followed by a toast by Director Stella Raine and a cake-cutting ceremony. The Director General presented a gift to the celerant, reinforcing unity and appreciation among staff.
