The Bayelsa State Due Process Bureau hosted its monthly Thanksgiving Service on Monday, September 29, 2025, at the Bureau’s Conference Hall. The event gathered staff and guests for a moment of gratitude, reflection, and celebration, with special recognition for staff members born in September.
Pastor Clement Ogunuku delivered the sermon on the theme ‘God of Possibility,’ drawing insights from 2 Kings 6:6, Ephesians 2:20, and 1 Samuel 17. He emphasized the importance of a personal relationship with God, stating that nothing is impossible. He cited David’s triumph over Goliath and Jesus’s miracle of feeding the masses with just five loaves of bread as examples. His message encouraged the audience to deepen their faith, and he led a special prayer session for the celebrants.
During the ceremony, Sir Timipre Jame, Director of Accounts, proposed a toast to the celebrants, followed by the cutting of the birthday cake. Director Richard Afenfia presented gifts to the celebrants, directors, heads of departments, and other staff and guests.
The Thanksgiving Service reinforced the Bureau’s commitment to fostering a culture of appreciation, unity, and shared purpose among its workforce, promoting teamwork
