The Due Process Bureau concluded a two-days Training and induction program for the newly employed procurement officers on October 8th and 9th. The program aimed to equip participants with the required knowledge and skills, in their new career /journey.
The Resource persons delivered training sessions on fundamental procurement, tendering, and bidding procedures other topics included the Bayelsa State Public Procurement Law 2020 and procurement planning. The training also covered code of conduct, ethics, and e-procurement. Interactive sessions and Q&A opportunities were provided.
The facilitators included Mr. Charles Enuma, procurement specialist Mr. Tari Michael Ofongo Ag Director Humam Resources Management, Barr (Mrs Ebinimi Fiebai Brutolu, Head legal service, Pastor Anthony Atotu QS Ag Director Technical Service, Chief Josiah Howells Onyesi, Ag Director Information, Communication and Technology, and Ag. Head of department sam -Ateki Fieye. Participants were engaged in discussions on contract management and risk management.
The Director-General commended the facilitators for their excellent presentation and coordination of the training. He urged the newly employed procurement officers to be good ambassadors of the Bureau, and also take advantage of the opportunity of the training to equip them Selves for the job roles and responsibility ahead of them
The training concluded with an interactive session. The program was well-received, and participants gained valuable insights.
